Sylvain Luc (born 1965) is a jazz guitarist born in Bayonne, France.
He studied violin and cello while also studying classical guitar at the Bayonne conservatory.
He lives in Paris and has become an arranger, composer and accompanyist to many different French artists, including (Al Jarreau Catherine Lara, Michel Jonasz..., all while being the bassist for the Richard Galliano trio.
In 1993, he becomes the ambassador of Guitar GODIN for the world.

In 1999, Luc founded the Trio Sud along with André Ceccarelli and Jean Marc Jafet. Sylvain Luc obtain the “French Music Award for Jazz music” as the best formation of the year 2003 with the Trio Sud

Since 2006, he has regularly found himself in the "String quartet," alongside Didier Lockwood, Victor Bailey and Billy Cobham.
