A State of Mind

新團體“ASM” (A state of Mind) 是個以HIPHOP/FUNK為主的小型歐盟團體， 團員組合FP the Funky Poet (MC)， Green-T (MC)， Fade (Producer)， Sativo (DJ) and Lando (Flute Player).
長笛？沒錯！這正在在全世界HIPHOP界起變化的一部份！長笛、黑管、薩克斯風(fēng)等銅管或木管樂器的加入，使得HIPHOP更活潑與跳躍….這正是日本系所帶至歐洲的旋風(fēng)….
”ASM”的團員彼此是在德國的一間國際學(xué)?；ハ嗾J識的，他們的名字除了是團員來自不同國家，另外也表示了他們的音樂思維，是廣納四海，而他們正以”原創(chuàng)與游走hiphop/funk邊緣”的獨特性表演正在歐洲以最快的速度竄起，而更被BBE廠牌的DJ VADIM視為歐洲的“leaders of the new school”
他們的表演器材相當(dāng)簡單， Fade (Producer) 是Beats Maker并擔(dān)任團長， Sativ與 Lando則是操作最多機器如Akai MPC， Roland SP-404， MicroKorg Keyboard， Flute， Melodica， Korg Kaos Pad， Theremin (一種電子樂器)， Technics 唱盤 與Scratch 混音器(我想應(yīng)該是ex那臺…說那么清楚可能是在文章內(nèi)順便跟有興趣booking的agent說明他們的器材很簡單..我猜啦) ，另外FP the Funky Poet， Green-T則負責(zé)詞與饒舌的部份，整體組合讓他們在歐洲的hiphop界顯得相當(dāng)獨特.
最近ASM與法國制作人Wax Tailor在他的新專輯《Hope & Sorrow》(銷售超過40，000)合作一首單曲’Positively Inclined’，另外這只單曲的MV也被法國MTV臺連續(xù)播放六周與攻占”Top 40 French national airplay charts” ，這對underground hiphop來說真是令人振奮的消息。
他們目前正與Dj Vadim (BBE Music)， Sadat X (Brand Nubian) Wax Tailor (decon)， Wildchild (stones throw)， Kid Kanevil (first word) ， Bonobo (Ninja tune)積極制作第二張專輯’Platypus Funk’相信他們與這些大名合作將會有更加輝煌的成績！
成軍兩年以來他們已在德國、英國、法國、瑞士、荷蘭、捷克、波蘭、 立陶宛everywhere in EUROPE發(fā)揚他們的音樂，現(xiàn)在我們就來聽聽他們的實力吧！
 
ASM (A State of Mind) are an international Hip Hop collective who are rapidly making their mark on the scene through their &original and boundary-pushing& live shows, leading them to be recently deemed the &leaders of the new school& by Dj Vadim (BBE). The ASM live showcase is rooted in the unique on-stage beat production of Akai-wizard Fade, who gets busy with the MPC 1000, a Roland SP-404, Melodica, Korg Kaos Pad, Theremin, Technics Turntable and a Scratch mixer. The one-man ASM groove section is joined on stage by the mighty 6ix Toys horns (Marco Bernardis on Tenor Sax, Paul Berton on Trombone), creating a funktastic roots blend of organic neck-snapping goodness. This backdrop is the playing field where multi-national supermicrophonists FP the Funky Poet and Green-T get busy and experiment with rhyme-patterns and back and forth flows in ways that have seen them be compared to the likes of Jurassic 5, Edan, People Under The Stairs, and and A Tribe Called Quest. In the studio and occaisionally on stage, the ASM crew extends to include Sativo ..s & scratches and Nearski on graphic design.
