continued her formal musical studies at Oberlin Conservatory in violin and piano performance but soon revealed a tendency to get totally distracted by everything other than what she was supposed to be doing. But inevitably it was her fear of buying new clothes that compelled her to take a new musical direction.
So after years of being a musical itinerant, Dana is now quite settled in Brooklyn. She plays in a duo (myspace.com/bachreformed) with the ever popular and omni-present Rob Moose. They finally finished their record and it will be officially released in the fall of 2009. She is also slowly getting over her fear of new clothes by taking jobs that require her to wear costumes, most notably as an onstage musician in the Public Theater's production of Hamlet in 2008 and the Bridge Project's productions of The Cherry Orchard and The Winter's Tale.
Dana is perhaps best known for playing traditional Irish fiddle music. She has played in kitchens, on sidewalks, in drinking establishments, on festival stages around the world and in places like Carnegie Hall and Town Hall here in the fantastic city of New York. These days, she spends a lot of time playing the piano and making up her own music. Also, she studies counterpoint with a really great guy called Paul Caputo. Other favourite activities include being with friends, swimming, making up words and having conversations made solely of non sequiturs
