CANNIBAL CORPSE是一支非常受歡迎的死亡金屬樂(lè)隊(duì),在國(guó)外穿他們T恤衫的極端金屬樂(lè)迷是最多的。他們的音樂(lè)非常粗暴,血腥而變態(tài),具有極強(qiáng)的煽動(dòng)性。他們就是這樣的一群家伙,不跟你玩深沉,不需要你去思考,只是要用最猛烈的音樂(lè)帶給你極端的感官刺激??傮w上看,CANNIBALCORPSE是極端金屬音樂(lè)界少有的偶像派樂(lè)隊(duì)。 專輯介紹 《BUTCHERDE AT BIRTH》 這是一張非常重型的專輯,整體音樂(lè)十分快速,低音的力度也很充分,吉他、貝司、鼓的表現(xiàn)都還不錯(cuò),雖然變化顯得少了一些,但強(qiáng)烈血腥的程度是足夠的。歌詞極為變態(tài),似乎有意考驗(yàn)?zāi)愕纳窠?jīng)的承受能力。總之,這張專輯的水準(zhǔn)相當(dāng)不錯(cuò),值得一聽(tīng)。 《TOMB OF THE MUTILATED》 這是CANNIBAL CORPSE最著名的一張專輯。雖然我個(gè)人收藏的這張唱片是CENSORED版,沒(méi)有封面和歌詞,不過(guò)在別處見(jiàn)到這張專輯的封面,感覺(jué)實(shí)在是既變態(tài)又色情,令人作嘔,堪稱極端金屬最佳唱片封面。專輯中的音樂(lè)也有了不小的進(jìn)步,聲音非常清晰,作為一支極端粗暴的死亡金屬樂(lè)隊(duì),這一點(diǎn)尤為可貴和重要,另外無(wú)論是演奏還是編曲,這張專輯都更富于變化,音樂(lè)的表現(xiàn)力有了很大的提高。無(wú)論如何,作為血腥派的極端金屬樂(lè)迷,這張專輯是不容錯(cuò)過(guò)的。 《THE BLEEDING》 樂(lè)隊(duì)的風(fēng)格發(fā)生了微小的變化,整體音樂(lè)旋律性有所加強(qiáng),雖然仍然非常低沉、粗暴,歌詞依舊變態(tài),但總體上講,CANNIBAL CORPSE的音樂(lè)變得更易為人所接受。更重要的是樂(lè)隊(duì)在駕御音樂(lè)的能力上有了很大的提高,整體感增強(qiáng)許多,不過(guò)這張專輯的音 樂(lè)較之樂(lè)隊(duì)以前的作品顯得軟了一點(diǎn),令人略有遺憾。 《VILE》 在這張專輯中樂(lè)隊(duì)的原主唱因組建了自己的SIX FEET UNDER樂(lè)隊(duì)而被開(kāi)除,新加入的主唱來(lái)自超級(jí)死亡金屬樂(lè)隊(duì)MONSTROSITY,表現(xiàn)也還是相當(dāng)不錯(cuò)的,整體音樂(lè)似乎也回到了樂(lè)隊(duì)早期的風(fēng)格,粗暴有力、殺氣十足,雖然錄音比較差,但細(xì)聽(tīng)下來(lái)發(fā)現(xiàn)樂(lè)隊(duì) 的演奏水準(zhǔn)還是有所提高的,不過(guò)這張專輯有一個(gè)致命的缺點(diǎn),就是沒(méi)有一首令人難忘的歌曲,因此很難給人留下深刻的印象。 《GALLERY OF SUICIDE》 樂(lè)隊(duì)加入了新吉他手,整體音樂(lè)顯得比以前的專輯講究技術(shù),內(nèi)容很豐富,有強(qiáng)烈的作品,也有比較旋律化的作品,甚至還有一首不錯(cuò)的純演奏作品,主唱經(jīng)過(guò)上張專輯的磨練,有一定進(jìn)步,與樂(lè)隊(duì)的配合更加熟練,錄音也有了比較大的提高,各種樂(lè)器 的聲音都十分清晰,使人能更明確的體會(huì)出CANNIBAL CORPSE樂(lè)隊(duì)向技術(shù)型死亡金屬樂(lè)隊(duì)轉(zhuǎn)化的變化。 《BLOODTHIRST》 這是CANNIBAL CORPSE的最新專輯,我只有機(jī)會(huì)聽(tīng)過(guò)其中的幾首歌曲,整體感覺(jué)非常好,技術(shù)化的趨勢(shì)更加明顯,而且樂(lè)隊(duì)也確實(shí)表現(xiàn)出了一些以前沒(méi)見(jiàn)過(guò)的高超水準(zhǔn),雖然還比不上DEATH、SUFFOCATION等技術(shù)型的經(jīng)典死亡金屬樂(lè)隊(duì),音樂(lè)的感覺(jué)也沒(méi)有象他們的優(yōu)秀作品《TOMB OF THE MUTILATED》給人印象深刻,但相信他們只要照這樣發(fā)展下去,一定會(huì)創(chuàng)造出一支全新的死亡金屬樂(lè)隊(duì),帶給我們更優(yōu)秀的作品

2000年Metal Blade(金屬刀片)公司推出的食人尸現(xiàn)場(chǎng)演出錄像雙張vcd《Live cannibalism(食人肉現(xiàn)場(chǎng))》,包括2000年2月16號(hào)樂(lè)隊(duì)在西印度群島Milwaukee密爾沃基舉行的名為“死亡金屬大屠殺”的演出?,F(xiàn)場(chǎng)演出氣氛熱烈,臺(tái)上迷亂瘋狂的雙吉他相互嘶咬,貝司穿游于最黑暗的深處,急密的鼓點(diǎn)撞擊著地獄大門,主唱的低喉是成群的魔獸沖出洞穴時(shí)興奮充血的雙眼射出的惡毒藍(lán)光。琴手飄揚(yáng)的長(zhǎng)發(fā)從前面看象拖把一樣不停擺動(dòng)。主唱的頭更象是電風(fēng)扇一樣大幅度轉(zhuǎn)動(dòng)。一場(chǎng)演出下來(lái)真擔(dān)心他的脖子會(huì)不會(huì)斷掉。臺(tái)下比臺(tái)上還能造,歌迷們互相沖撞肆意取鬧.
"If vomit were a movie, this would be the soundtrack," wrote one critic of Cannibal Corpse's music, some of the most extreme, violent death metal sounds and subject matter ever committed to tape. Reveling in splatter-horror imagery in their often indecipherable lyrics, the group's graphic album artwork and song titles like "Meat Hook Sodomy," "Entrails Ripped from a Virgin's Cunt," "Fucked with a Knife," and so on, have — not surprisingly — attracted a fair amount of controversy and sometimes resulted in their albums being banned. However, their over-the-top extremity has won them a rabid cult following and made them one of the most popular death metal bands of the '90s; sticking with what works, the band didn't alter or develop its style much over the decade, although fans didn't seem to mind.
Cannibal Corpse was formed in Buffalo, NY, in 1988, their lineup composed mostly of musically active scenesters: vocalist Chris Barnes, guitarists Bob Rusay and Jack Owen, bassist Alex Webster, and drummer Paul Mazurkiewicz. Musically, they were closest to Slayer, although more extreme metal bands like Death also played a role in their sound. A 1989 demo helped the band secure a contract with Metal Blade Records, which released their debut album, Eaten Back to Life, in 1990. A cult following began to build behind the group with albums like 1991's Butchered at Birth and 1992's Tomb of the Mutilated. Bob Rusay was fired in 1993 and replaced with ex-Malevolent Creation guitarist Rob Barrett, who joined the group in time to appear as a club band in the Jim Carrey film Ace Ventura: Pet Detective.
Barrett debuted on record with 1994's (relatively) more accessible The Bleeding, which proved to be Barnes' final album; 1996's Vile featured ex-Monstrosity vocalist George "Corpsegrinder" Fisher. Cannibal Corpse soldiered on through the decade, returning in 1998 with Gallery of Suicide. Bloodthirst followed a year later, and in 2000 the band issued both a video and CD titled Live Cannibalism (their second concert video but first official live album). Gore Obsessed arrived in 2002, followed by the obsessively packaged box set/DVD 15 Year Killing Spree. Their ninth album of all new material, Wretched Spawn, was released in 2004, followed by Kill in 2006.
