Dev，1989年7月2日出生于美國(guó)加州，美國(guó)女歌手。
2010年，她發(fā)表個(gè)人第一張單曲《Booty Bounce》，是《Like a G6》的樣本。 《Like a G6》曾于告示牌百?gòu)?qiáng)單曲榜中排名首位，及此Dev開(kāi)始受人注目。其后發(fā)行第二首單曲《Bass Down Low》，其舞曲風(fēng)格獲得不俗的評(píng)語(yǔ)。
2011年8月31日，發(fā)行首張個(gè)人專(zhuān)輯《The Night the Sun Came Up》。

Dev來(lái)自的小鎮(zhèn)曼蒂卡（Manteca），位于加州的中央谷地。因?yàn)樯谝粋€(gè)由葡萄牙人和墨西哥人組成的家庭，獨(dú)特的文化色彩早早地滲入了Dev的風(fēng)格。她要不是在午后的后院里玩燒烤，要不就是在自己的小音樂(lè)廳里作曲。
2010和Universal Republic Records簽了約的Dev現(xiàn)居洛杉磯。如今從大街到夜店甚至是臥室，Dev的音樂(lè)愉悅并性感，混合了pop、R&B、舞曲和hip-hop，再由獨(dú)特的聲線演繹，是當(dāng)之無(wú)愧的時(shí)代之聲。2010年由Far East Movement、The Cataracs和Dev共同演繹的單曲《Like A G6》。本曲由The Cataracs和Far East Movement負(fù)責(zé)編寫(xiě)，The Cataracs制作。本曲的和聲是取樣自Dev的單曲《Booty Bounce》。 至于歌曲名中的G6就是小型商務(wù)客機(jī)Gulfstream 650的縮寫(xiě)，也就是MV最后那臺(tái)飛機(jī)。
《In The Dark》 極富電子舞曲元素的歌曲，在美國(guó)Billboard排行榜上一度升入第十一名。
2011年夏天，Dev發(fā)布個(gè)人首張專(zhuān)輯《The Night The Sun Came Up》。同年12月，發(fā)行單曲《Naked》。
2012年3月，發(fā)行單曲《Take Her From You》，7月發(fā)行《In My Trunk》，9月發(fā)行單曲《Turn The World On》。

Life and career
Devin Star Tailes (born July 2, 1989), better known as Dev (sometimes stylized as DEV or dEV), is an American singer, songwriter, rapper, model and radio host. She was discovered by the record label, Indie-Pop, and The Cataracs via Myspace after her friend Shane Crislip, posted her singing to some beats. Dev's song "Booty Bounce" was sampled in Far East Movement's hit single "Like a G6" which reached number 1 in the US, and sold over four million downloads in the country.
Dev was signed to Universal Republic in October 2010, and released her debut single "Bass Down Low" in November 16, 2010 which reached the top 10 in the United Kingdom. Her debut album ‘The Night the Sun Came Up’ was released on March 27, 2012. The second single, "In the Dark", peaked at number 11 in the US chart, making it her most successful solo single to date. Dev in 2014 released two EPs, ‘Bittersweet July’ and the second part as a follow up to part one. She's a radio host of the popular radio Beats 1 by Apple, founded in 2015.
In 2016 Dev started promoting her second studio album which is set to be released in mid 2016 with an opening single called ‘Lowkey’.
