Acid House Kings是瑞典第一支吉他獨立流行樂隊。在1991年三個年輕人，Joakim Qdlund（同時也是Poprace和Starlet的成員）Nikas Angergard（來自Red Sleeping Beauty）以及Johan Angergard（曾經(jīng)是Club 8和Poprace的成員）組成了Acid House Kings，他們在德國著名獨立廠牌Marsh-marigold旗下發(fā)行了第一首單曲play pop。從92年開始，Acid House Kings開始他們第一個十年的三部發(fā)展計劃，音樂以簡單易上口的吉他樂為主，加以全新的題材以及日益成熟的曲風。他們的第一步，就是92年在Marsh-marigold發(fā)行的專輯Pop, look & listen。隨后就是他們94年發(fā)行的6首歌的EP，Monaco G.P. ，以及歐洲巡演。
三部曲的第二步，他們開始創(chuàng)作簡單易上口的有質量有深度的作品（感覺好象用陽光夏日來代替孤獨深秋夜晚的感覺）他們在美國Shelflife以及日本的Harmony發(fā)行了advantage Acid House Kings，在這張專輯里Julia做為客串歌手演唱了幾首歌，這張唱片發(fā)行數(shù)量不多，而且很塊就被樂迷搶購一空，現(xiàn)在Labrador正在重新發(fā)行這張專輯。
2001年Acid House Kings為了創(chuàng)作出更好的音樂作品，建立了他們自己的工作室，Summersound Studios。Joakim無法在工作室進行工作，因為他住的地方離工作室實在太遠了，但是Julia卻成為了樂隊的一員。這年是創(chuàng)作高峰，他們發(fā)行了mondays are like tuesdays and tuesdays are like wednesdays. 這是近年他們制作最精良，銷售最好的一張專輯。
樂隊由Joakim odlund，Nikas Angergard，Johan Angergard和JuliaLannerheim四人組成。John大家都熟知了，是club8的男性成員。據(jù)說NikasAngergard和Johan Angergard是兄弟倆，你可以看看這張新專輯的封面，看看中間那兩個人，看看他們長的象不象，我覺得長的是有點象。女主角Joakim odlund的嗓音非常甜美單純。這種聲音在中國的女歌手中找不到。Julia Lannerheim是在樂隊發(fā)行他們的《advantage Acid House Kings》專輯時加入的。
據(jù)說是這樣，john寫的歌概括起來有兩種，一種是溫柔甜美的，另一種是活潑可愛的。前者基本上都給club8女性成員karolina唱了，后者則留給acid housekings。不過又有另一種說法，是karolina挑john寫的歌，那些她不要的，就留給acid house kings了。。
acid house kings曲風上也是清新自然，舒適寫意。整支樂隊唱的歌其實就是在享受生活的點滴，那種沒有目的的生活，隨意的生活。他們的歌適合在清晨聽，輕盈質樸的木吉他掃弦與爽朗明快的節(jié)奏，配上男女主唱交相輝映的浪漫演唱，立即能將你從昨晚的混沌中叫醒。也可以在夏夜里大樹底下和你的戀人一起聆聽。那會是人生最美的享受。
Acid House Kings is a Swedish indie pop band, founded in 1991 by Joakim Ödlund (also in the bands Poprace, and Starlet) and brothers Niklas (Red Sleeping Beauty) and Johan Angergård (Club 8, Poprace). The band recorded their first songs that year and sent them only to one label, the German pop label Marsh-Marigold. A few months later their debut single “Play pop! EP” was released.
In 1992, Acid House Kings started a 10 year plan: a trilogy of albums with one album released exactly every 5th year. Each album was to be filled with catchy guitar pop songs but with new themes and a growing maturity from album to album. The first album in trilogy was the twee “Pop, Look and Listen!” released on Marsh-marigold in 1992. The album was followed by the 6-track ep “Monaco G.P.” and a European tour in 1994.
With the 2nd part of Acid House Kings album trilogy, the band wanted to create catchy quality pop (a bit like The Smiths for summmers days instead of lonely autumn nights locked up in your room). That album was “Advantage Acid House Kings”. The band changed labels for this album to Shelflife in the US and Harmony in Japan. On this album, singer Julia Lannerheim was introduced in the band as a guest singer on a couple of songs. The album was released in rather small quantities and sold out quickly. It’s now been re-released by Labrador Records.
