Scottish soprano Andrew Johnston left his hometown of Dumfries in 2008 to appear on the second season of the popular U.K. television program Britain's Got Talent. The precocious 14-year-old managed to secure third place and was promptly signed to nefarious judge Simon Cowell's SyCo Music label. The resulting One Voice, which featured a duet with fellow child singer and Britain's Got Talent contestant Faryl Smith, was released later that year and debuted at number four on the U.K. album charts.
