Tystnaden

Tystnaden were born in 1999.
The sound of the band is a charming mix between aggressively and melody, instinctive energy and dressy thoughtfulness, near the most modern gothic dark metal.
The band has an intensive live act joining many important festivals and played as headliner or opening for Linea77, Vision Divine, Secret Sphere, Macbeth, Extrema, Elvenking, Infernal Poetry, Slowmotion Apocalypse, Raintime and many others.
May 2006 is the releasing date of the first full-length album of the band Sham of Perfection, produced and published by German LMP (Limb Music Products and Publishing), Hamburg. The album is recorded and mixed at New Sin Studios by Luigi Stefanini, mastered by R.D. Liapakis and Christian Schmid at the Prophecy and Music Factory Studios, Germany, in March 2006. The distribution of the album is worldwide. The reviews from the press and the replies of people all around the world are amazing.
In July 2007 the band enters for the second time New Sin Studios to record the second full-length album, In Our Eye, a more mature work than the first one. Tystnaden face more immediate sounds, darker and more aggressive music. They take the distance from the classic gothic band's image, daring totally new emotions, performances and expressiveness.
In July 2008, the American label Renaissance Records, with Koch Entertainment Distribution, publishes In Our Eye in the U.S.A. and the following countries: Mexico, Canada and their possessions, Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, Chile, Colombia, Peru.
2009 is the beginning of a year of great changes for Tystnaden. The band shows a brand new line up, free themselves from not so profitable management agencies and recover the right motivation in composing new songs that will be part of the third full-length album of the band, demonstrating how much the six-pieces is able to dare one more time.
From November 2010 to January 2011 the band records the new album, Anima, which is a rediscovery of the energy of Tystnaden. The eleven songs of the third full-length drift away from the introspections and the dark sound and style of In Our Eye. Maybe once and for all it will consolidate the melodic and refined sound with the power of the rage.
The album title is a simple but deep Italian word, just like the six members' character. Once again, to come to full circle, the artwork is left in the capable hands of Travis Smith.
The band enters the roster of the most important Italian independent label Valery Records. The third full-length album Anima will be released by Valery Records.
