For several years VANUPIé has had a place in peoples’ hearts. Even if you haven’t seen him on stages throughout France, in the first part of ASA, Tiken Jah Fakoly, DUB INCORPORATION or on TV shows with Keziah Jones, if you did not listen to his first album, did not yet listen to "I-LAND", and you have not met him in the subway in Paris, you impossible not to have heard of him. Former AD, Dandy Rasta, a kind of pirate, Vanupié brings smiles and sometimes tears to the faces of people who cross his path. The influences of this artist are many, and admirably assembled into a style that’s very much his own. True and simple music, a hoarse and suave voice borrowed from the great Blues singers and a resolutely positive energy.
