Hanne Kolst? is one of Norway’s most ensnaring singers and songwriters. With a unique voice and intuitive sense of melodies she lures you into her world of clever lyrics and flourishing creativity. Always willing to experiment, she mixes all possible genres – one moment she whispers softly in your ear, the next she howls with despair.
Hanne is a hyper-active artist and songwriter, with six album releases in the last four years. Her projects range from the epic 90′s flirting of Love:Fi to the mystical trip-hop-ensenmble Thelma & Clyde.
As a solo artist, Hanne Kolst?’s performances are anything but conventional. Her sound is composed of a mixture cold Casio synths, home-made beats, acoustic guitar and layer upon layer of voice. Her music is rooted in the 90s, with references to PJ Harvey, Depeche Mode and Bj?rk.
The solo debut Riot Break was released in September 2011, and received overhelmingly positive reviews from a broad range of Norwegian music critics. It was also launched in U.S.A and Germany spring 2012. The next record, FlashBlack, will be released in Norway 14th September 2012, Germany and U.S.A 1st of February 2013.
