And Also the Trees,Sad Lovers and Giants,The Comsat Angels及The Chameleons等被認(rèn)為是優(yōu)雅而精致的后朋克的英國樂隊相似,他們的音樂充滿夢幻。Asylum Party與Mary Goes Round、Little Nemo三支樂隊曾共同發(fā)起"Touching Pop"運動。

French post-punk/coldwave band founded in Courbevoie in 1985 by Thierry Sobezyk (bass, vocals) and Philippe Planchon (guitar, vocals), later joined by Pascale Macé (keyboards).Founding members Thierry Sobezyk and Philippe Planchon, both being childhood friends, formed the band shortly after their previous band dissolved. Chipping money in together, the two bought a drum machine and so forth was the band Asylum Party formed. After the release of their mini lp Picture One in 1988, the band acquired their friend Pascale Macé and recorded their first full album Borderline in 1989. Soon after the release of their second full album Mother, the bands future started to look bleak. Asylum Party disbanded in 1990 because of financial restaints and lack of commercial success.
Asylum Party was one of the bands that emerged out of the so called "Nouvelle Vague", the French New Wave.Their sound had gothic rock influences, and like British bands such as And Also the Trees, Sad Lovers and Giants, The Comsat Angels and The Chameleons they played a very dreamy, refined kind of post-punk.Asylum Party was part of the so-called Touching Pop movement together with Mary Goes Round and Little Nemo. After Asylum Party is disbanded,Thierry Sobezyk and Philippe Planchon had ever joined Mary Goes Round as bassist in 1991.
