Turner 和Kane談?wù)撈鹚麄児餐矚g的美國(guó)創(chuàng)作型藝人Scott Walker,并決定寫一些像Scott風(fēng)格的音樂，并得到London Metropolitan Orchestra的鼎力支持，把整張專輯的基調(diào)定在了60年代晚期。

The Last Shadow Puppets是由著名獨(dú)立樂隊(duì)Arctic Monkeys的成員Alex Turner和The Rascals樂隊(duì)里的Miles Kane共同組成，此外還有制作人James Ford負(fù)責(zé)曲目編排。"The Age of the Understatement" 是The Last Shadow Puppets發(fā)行的第一支單曲，在英國(guó)單曲榜上曾獲得過(guò)第九的位置。在2009年全英音樂獎(jiǎng)提名名單中，The Last Shadow Puppets獲得了“英國(guó)突破表現(xiàn)獎(jiǎng)提名”。
