Nick Pratt is breaking the mold of Texas rap. As a Fort Worth native, Pratt’s music is Texas home-grown, but his southern swagger is blended with a typically northern substance. Produced by New York great, Beewirks and Texas production team, Red Prodigy, Pratt’s music maintains a classic country grammar while his lyricism is that of a socially conscious jester. Pratt’s mix of humor and absolute realism is bridging the gap for college-boy rap and changing the tune of Texas music, integrating the realities of a young scholar with rapid wordplay and knowledge beyond his years. At 21, this writer, rapper and mix-tape mastermind has already hit the ground running in the rap game. Pratt has opened for rap wizards Wale and Wiz Khalifa and received both national and international press across the board, including a feature on Black Entertainment Television’s “The Deal.” With releases like Month of Mayhem, TRD Vol 2: Parties “N” Bullshit, and Fear of Falling, Pratt continues to establish himself as an artist. His overt lyricism and candor are sure to enrich the rap game as he gains further critical acclaim. http://www.nickprattmusic.com/
