serpent是來(lái)自日本神戶的一只旋律死亡樂(lè)隊(duì)。他們一開(kāi)始是重金屬風(fēng)格，但是當(dāng)Keija在某個(gè)cd店里聽(tīng)了In Flames的一首歌后Serpent的整個(gè)音樂(lè)風(fēng)格都變了，新的風(fēng)格與以前的烈焰相近。
Serpent is a Melodic Death Metal band hailing from Kobe, Japan. Serpent started off as a Heavy Metal band, but the whole music style changed when Keija listened to one of the In Flames songs in some CD store. The new style is close to old In Flames.
大事件
1993年に前身であるバンド、Awakeが結(jié)成される。サウンドホリックからデビューする時(shí)のメンバーの1人であるKeija(Ds、Key)（當(dāng)時(shí)は荊蛇と名乗っていた）が參加していた。1994年に、バンド名をSERPENTに改名。メンバーチェンジを繰り返したあと、2000年1月30日に解散する。
2002年に入って、KeijaとAki(Gu)によって再結(jié)成され活動(dòng)を再開(kāi)。その後、Hiro(Ba)が加入。2003年にHiroki(Gu)が加入し、サポートメンバーにKen(Vo)を加えて、1stデモCD『BLOODY GATES』を製作。その後、サポートメンバーだったKenが正式に加入。2004年に2ndデモCD『SERPENT』を製作。更に、3rdデモ『LUNAR ECLIPSE』を製作した。その後、Akiが脫退し、4人體制になる。
2005年に、1stアルバム『CRADLE OF INSANITY』をサウンドホリックからリリースしデビューを飾る。その後はメンバーの怪我などで思うように活動(dòng)できないでいたが、2008年に2ndアルバム『xGODx』をリリースした。しかし、同年11月29日のライヴをもって、KeijaとHirokiが脫退した。後任は、2008年12月現(xiàn)在未定。
1993年，Keiji開(kāi)始了名為 Awaken 的重金屬樂(lè)隊(duì)的活動(dòng)。
1994年，樂(lè)隊(duì)更名為 Serpent。
2000年，樂(lè)隊(duì)解散。
2002年，Keiji找回以前的吉他手Aki重啟了樂(lè)隊(duì)。很快，現(xiàn)任貝斯手Hiro加入。
2003年，Hiroki(現(xiàn)任吉他手）和支援成員Ken（主唱）加入。第一張demo album 《Bloody Gates》 和樂(lè)隊(duì)同名EP album 《Serpent》 發(fā)表。但是專輯《Serpent》只是在Live house里有售。
2004年，開(kāi)始了和另一支著名的旋死樂(lè)隊(duì)'The Black Dahlia Murder'在大阪和神戶的巡演。新的EP album 《Lunar Eclipse》發(fā)表，但同樣只在Live House里出售。年末，吉他手Aki離開(kāi)樂(lè)隊(duì)。
2005年，一月，他們開(kāi)始錄制他們的第一張全長(zhǎng)專輯《Cradle of Insanity》，專輯在五月25日發(fā)表。
1993:
Keija starts a Heavy Metal band called 'Awaken'.
1994:
The band got renamed as Serpent.
2000:
The band splits up.
2002:
Keija asks the old Guitarist Aki to re-start the band. Shortly after, the current bassist Hiro joins.
2003:
Hiroki, the current guitarist and the support member Ken joins the band. First demo album 'Bloody Gates' and the self-titled EP album 'Serpent' gets released, but the album Serpent was only available at Live House.
2004:
Tours Osaka and Kobe with one of the most well-known Melodic Death Metal band 'The Black Dahlia Murder'. New EP album 'Lunar Eclipse' was also released, but again, was only available at Live Houses. At the end of 2004, Aki, the old guitarist leaves the band.
2005:
In January, they started recording their first full-length album 'Cradle of Insanity'. It was released on the 25th of May.
