本名Lockett Pundt，Deerhunter的吉他手，2009年3月推出首張個人專輯「The Floodlight Collective」，音樂受My Bloody Valentine、Stereolab、Roxy Music等影響。專輯所有創(chuàng)作是透過Lockett在臥室以電腦4軌錄制的成品，專輯名稱源自Lockett高中時期與Bradford Cox (Atlas Sound)及共同朋友一起組過的玩票性質(zhì)樂團團名。專輯內(nèi)所有樂器由Lockett伴奏，除一曲”Different Mirrors”由Bradford Cox執(zhí)鼓棒客串。
本性害羞的Lockett在Deerhunter一直是個默默無言、漫不經(jīng)心地彈奏樂器，只需專注盯著腳下的聲效踏板的角色。實則Deerhunter渡過不安的早期樂團生涯，在Lockett 2005年加入后，似乎也替樂團某部份曲風定了調(diào)。從Deerhunter第二張專輯開始參與，Lockett為樂團貢獻4首令人印象深刻的獨力創(chuàng)作，分別是：”Like New” (Fluorescent Grey EP ‘07)、”Strange Light” (Cryptograms ‘07) 和”Agoraphobia”(主唱)、”Neither of Us, Uncertainly”、”Dot Gain”，末三首出自’08年「Microcastle / Weird Era Cont. 」雙碟版。就”Strange Light”和”Dot Gain”可以聽出非常Lotus Plaza式的風格，不難聯(lián)想他的solo作何以呈現(xiàn)幻視般的延續(xù)漸層重疊音色，極度渙散猶如封面照過度曝光的花白光點，一如樂團風格充滿懷舊傷感，也以他超脫空間的迷幻吉他聲線讓樂團擺脫首張專輯狂亂脫序的節(jié)拍，讓Deerhunter的punk/garage主干更觸及純?nèi)恢X體驗的聲音旋弛氛圍實驗。
Lotus Plaza is the solo project of American musician Lockett Pundt (born October 7, 1982), guitarist and multi-instrumentalist of Atlanta-based indie rock group Deerhunter. Pundt joined Deerhunter in 2005 as a guitarist. He is also the best friend of Deerhunter vocalist Bradford Cox. His debut album as Lotus Plaza, The Floodlight Collective, was released March 23, 2009 on CD and vinyl. Pundt has cited his greatest musical influences as being Stereolab, My Bloody Valentine, and Roxy Music, &on a subliminal level.&
