The Crash Moderns are an American power-pop band based in New York City, fronted by Danny Roselle on vocals and guitar. When the band formed in 2004, it also included Jon Matias (guitar), Joe Merrigan (bass), Jimmi Kane (drums) and Tommy Eichmann (keyboards). Later, Mikey Vranek took over on guitars, Anthony Costa on bass, and Greg Wirbickas on drums, leaving only Roselle and Eichmann as original members. Roselle is also the chief lyricist for the band. In 2008 they released their debut album Good Night Glamour, Good Morning Disaster.
They have opened for such bands as Bowling for Soup, American Hi-Fi, and Lifehouse. Their biggest gig was opening for Bon Jovi.[1] In 2008, they toured the U.S. including playing the South by Southwest music festival.[2]
Influences cited by the band include The Beatles, The Cars, Elvis Costello, and Cheap Trick.[3] Music writers have compared their sound to that of Marvelous 3, Cheap Trick and Elvis Costello.[1]
Before The Crash Moderns, frontman Danny Roselle was in the band No Soap Radio, known for their music on The Sopranos.[1] He is also an occasional member of the band Dramarama.
