by John BushDrummer-turned-producer Eric Cook worked with noise-rockers Gravitar and blues-rockers Bantam Rooster before turning to electronic music in the late '90s. Based in Dearborn, Michigan, Cook began playing in 1985, and spent time in several local bands before joining Gravitar in 1992. He appeared on several of the band's albums, including the celebrated debut Gravitaativaravitar, before joining Bantam Rooster in 1994. Cook began spending more time on his electronic solo recordings (a hobby since 1991) after breaking his ankle in early 1998. By the end of the year, he'd completed his first full album, Maximal. It earned release on California's Vinyl Communications the following year.
