by Jason BirchmeierMagic joined the No Limit army in 1998, aligning himself closely with C-Murder and the short-lived Tru Records sublabel. During No Limit's heyday, C-Murder recorded a pair of albums -- Sky's the Limit (1998) and Thuggin' (1999) -- and then remained inactive for a few years as Master P dismantled his army, dismissing most everyone except family, a few select producers, and Magic. Once Master P revived his label in the early '00s as The New No Limit Records, Magic resurfaced with White Eyes (2003).
