The German tenor, Daniel Behle, completed in January 2004 his degree program at the Conservatory of Music in Hamburg, where his major areas of study were trombone and composition. While at the Conservatory he studied voice privately with his mother Renate Behle and, for five semesters, in a class at the Conservatory taught by James Wagner. Upon Wagner's untimely death in the fall of 2003, he completed his final semester in a class taught by Renate Behle, completing his voice study requirements in July 2004.

In various competitions Daniel Behle has received special recognition: First prize in the International Robert Stolz Competition 2004, First prize in the Queen Sonja Competition 2005 in Oslo, second prize in the International Competition - Cologne 2002 and special prize in the national competition Bundesgesangswettbewerb 2002.

Daniel Behle's first professional engagement was at the Oldenburger Staatstheater, beginning with the 2003-2004 season. Since 2005-2006 he is in the ensemble at the Volksoper in Vienna, Austria, for a minimum of two years.
